What are task comments
Comments are a tool for discussing tasks and task groups between the employer and employees in the piece-rate payroll system. With comments, you can:
- Clarify details of task execution
- Leave feedback on completed work
- Discuss changes to tasks
- Ask questions about instructions
Comments can be left for individual tasks as well as entire task groups. This is convenient for discussing general questions about a group or specific details of an individual task.
Where comments are displayed
Comments are displayed in several places in the system:
- In the task editor — next to each task and task group, a button 💬 with the number of comments in the form of a blue badge is displayed
- In the daily report — comments on completed tasks and task groups for the selected date
- On the tasks page — when viewing the employer's task list
- In the comments summary — all comments on your tasks in one place
How to leave a comment
To add a comment to a task or task group:
- Click the button 💬 next to the desired task or task group
- On the comments page, enter text in the field New comment (maximum 5000 characters)
- Click the button Send
The comment will be saved and become visible to the employer and employees who have access to this task or task group.
Copying a link to a task
A link to the task or task group is available on the comments page. You can:
- Copy the link by clicking the button 📋 Copy
- Paste the link into a chat for quick navigation to the task
This is convenient when you need to discuss a task in a chat and quickly navigate to it via the link.
Viewing comments
The following are displayed on the comments page:
- Comment author — user's name with a link to their profile
- Comment time — with your time zone taken into account
- Comment text — with line breaks preserved
Unread comments are highlighted with a gray background. The employer sees comments from employees as unread, and the employee sees new comments from the employer as unread.
Comments summary
The comments summary is a page where all comments on your tasks and task groups are collected. Available only to employers.
To open the comments summary:
- Go to the Task editor
- Click the button 💬 Comments summary at the top of the page
Next to the button, the number of unread comments is displayed in the form of a blue badge.
What the summary shows
The comments summary displays:
- The name of the task or task group to which the comment was left
- Author and time of the comment
- Comment text
- Buttons for navigating to the task/group or to a specific comment
Comments are sorted by time — newest at the top. Unread comments are highlighted with a gray background.
Pagination in the summary
If there are many comments, they are split into pages of 50 items each. Navigation for moving between pages is available at the bottom of the page.
Deleting comments
The following can delete a comment:
- Employer — can delete any comments on their tasks
- Comment author — can delete only their own comments
To delete, click the button Delete under the comment and confirm the action.
Displaying comments in reports
In the daily payroll report (Daily Payroll Report), comments on completed tasks and task groups are automatically displayed under the corresponding tasks.
Comments are shown only for the selected date and include:
- Author's name with a link to their profile
- Comment time (hours and minutes only)
- Comment text
This allows you to quickly see all discussions on completed tasks for a specific day.
Features of working with comments
- Maximum comment length is 5000 characters
- Comment time is displayed taking into account the author's time zone and your time zone
- The employer automatically marks comments as read when opening the comments page
- Comments on hidden tasks are visible only to the employer and employees with an accepted invitation
